About

Founded in 2018, Hollandse Kust Zuid is a public headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden specializing in Wind.

Hollandse Kust Zuid is a 1,500 MW offshore wind farm located 18-36 kilometers off the coast of the Netherlands between Den Haag and Zandvoort. The project comprises 139 Siemens Gamesa 11MW wind turbines with 97-meter blades and 225-meter tip heights. Spanning 225 km² across four concession areas (kavels), the wind farm was constructed without government subsidies, making it Europe's first subsidy-free offshore wind project. Officially inaugurated by Dutch King Willem-Alexander in September 2023, it generates renewable electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of over 1.5 million Dutch households. The project includes environmental protections, regular maintenance protocols with an expected 25-30 year operational lifespan, and plans for component reuse or recycling at decommissioning.
