About

Founded in 2017, InteGrid is a government headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal specializing in Solar, Wind, Energy Storage.

InteGrid is a European H2020 research and innovation project on low-carbon energy, coordinated by EDP Distribuição and involving 14 organizations across 8 countries. The project bridges the gap between citizens and energy technology providers through large-scale demonstrations of smart grid solutions, including smart substations, forecasting models, demand-side management programs, and user-engagement feedback mechanisms. Three primary demonstration sites showcase integrated approaches: Stockholm Royal Seaport (150 apartments with automation and feedback), Hammarby Sjöstad (50 apartments with behavioral demand response via social networks), and Portuguese demonstrations focusing on DSO integration. The project develops replicable solutions enabling distribution system operators to manage networks with high penetration of distributed renewable resources while maintaining stability, security, and economic viability.
