About

Founded in 2023, JOULIA Project is a ngo headquartered in Spain specializing in Other.

JOULIA is an EU-funded collaborative research project (Grant Agreement 101192555) uniting 16 partners from 7 EU countries to accelerate industrial decarbonisation through electrification of heating processes. The project develops and demonstrates innovative induction and microwave heating systems for medium-to-high temperature industrial applications, specifically targeting rubber flooring vulcanisation and multilayer pipe adhesive gluing. Key objectives include replacing fossil fuel-based diathermic oil systems with efficient electromagnetic heating, achieving Technology Readiness Level 7 validation, and assessing environmental, economic, health, and safety impacts. The consortium includes technology developers, industrial manufacturers (ARTIGO, SIMIC, K-FLEX), research centres (CIRCE, CERTH), and expertise from multiple EU nations. Demonstrations incorporate digital twin models, predictive maintenance tools, and workforce training development to support industrial-scale adoption.
