Klimapartner Südbaden e.V. is a non-profit association founded in 2010 to advance climate protection and energy transition in the South Baden region. The organization operates as a strategic network connecting diverse stakeholders including energy providers, municipal leaders, industrial representatives, educational institutions, and financial institutions. Since its founding, the association has initiated over 20 projects worth more than EUR 50 million focused on climate protection, energy efficiency, and energy transition implementation. Key initiatives include the Regional Innovation Center for Energy System Technology at Hochschule Offenburg and the Wood Construction Innovation Center Schwarzwald. The organization is recognized as lead partner for the Southern Upper Rhine-High Rhine region and has successfully acquired EU, federal, and state funding for sustainable regional development. Current priorities include renewable hydrogen infrastructure development, industrial transformation, greenhouse gas emission reduction, energy and material efficiency for businesses, and dynamic electricity tariffs.
