About
Founded in 2017, LowUP is a government headquartered in Seville, Spain specializing in Energy Storage, Other.
LowUP (Low valued energy sources UPgrading for buildings and industry uses) is a 42-month EU-funded research consortium project coordinated by ACCIONA with 12 partners from 7 European countries. The project develops and demonstrates three innovative heating and cooling systems: one heating and one cooling system for office buildings, and one heat recovery system for industrial processes. These systems utilize low-grade energy sources including renewable and waste energy from sewage, industrial wastewater, and industrial processes to produce heating and cooling at near room temperature. The project contributes to EU GHG reduction targets by significantly reducing CO2 emissions and primary energy consumption in buildings and industrial applications.
