Founded in 2023, MASTERPIECE is a ngo headquartered in Murcia, Spain specializing in Other.

MASTERPIECE is a Horizon Europe Framework Programme project (grant agreement no 101096836) officially launched in January 2023. Led by the University of Murcia, it aims to create a digital coordination and cooperation modular platform that facilitates the creation and operation of energy communities across Europe. The project develops technical and social innovations to empower traditional energy consumers, making them active agents in collaborative energy communities. Key objectives include establishing cyber-secure infrastructure protecting against attacks while ensuring GDPR and EPBD compliance, demonstrating applicability through real-life pilots in diverse geographical and regulatory contexts, and proposing new business strategies and incentive mechanisms. The platform is designed with participatory approaches including co-creation and is user-centric by nature.
