Matrycs is a Horizon 2020 research and innovation project (grant agreement no. 101000158) aimed at revolutionizing energy management in the building sector through advanced data analytics and AI. The project develops a modular, cloud-based Data Analytics Toolbox that enables buildings data exchange, management, and real-time processing. With buildings accounting for nearly 40% of EU energy consumption, Matrycs capitalizes on modern technological breakthroughs in machine learning, deep learning, and big data to create decision-support models and visualizations for energy-efficient buildings. The project is structured around eight key activities covering coordination, communication, dissemination, ethics, and technical objectives. Implementation is demonstrated across 11 large-scale pilot sites, addressing energy efficiency challenges at building, cluster, district, and regional levels.
