It provides credible certification for energy from renewable and green sources, including biogas plants, hydroelectric power plants, and other renewable energy installations. The certification ensures compliance with environmental and ecological standards, including requirements such as environmental management systems for larger operators and fish passage facilities for hydroelectric plants. Naturemade works with accredited auditors and issues certificates of origin for renewable electricity in Switzerland. The scheme is sponsored by multiple organizations guaranteeing its independence and serves as a partner of SwissEnergy.
