Phenogy is a sustainable energy storage innovator specializing in sodium-ion battery technology. Founded on principles of dedication, experience, and ingenuity, the company develops next-generation battery energy storage systems (BESS) as alternatives to lithium-ion solutions. Products include the Phenogy 1.0 (Europe's first sodium-ion BESS), Phenogy 1.1 (air-cooled modular system), and Phenogy 2.1 (liquid-cooled system). The company collaborates with ETH Zurich, EMPA, Fraunhofer Institute ISIT, and other research facilities. With backing from 400 private and institutional investors, Phenogy operates globally across Europe, North America, and Asia, targeting industrial peak shaving, self-consumption optimization, backup power, and grid services.
