Renewables Grid Initiative is a unique platform uniting grid operators and non-governmental organisations across Europe since 2009. RGI facilitates dialogue and collaborative approaches to grid development that enable decarbonisation while protecting biodiversity and engaging communities. The organisation operates across three work dimensions: connecting climate action, nature conservation, and energy goals. It promotes transparent, environmentally sound grid development through knowledge sharing, policy advocacy, capacity building, and annual Grid Awards recognising innovative practices in grid development and renewable energy integration.
