RES4LIVE is a European research and innovation project funded under Horizon 2020 (Grant Agreement No. 101000785) with the strategic objective of developing and bringing to market integrated, cost-effective, and case-sensitive renewable energy source (RES) solutions to achieve fossil-free livestock farming. The project runs for 48 months from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2024 with a budget of €4,998,455. The consortium comprises 17 partners from 8 countries: 4 universities, 4 research organizations, 6 SMEs, 1 farm, and 2 international associations. Project coordination is led by Dr.-Ing. Dimitris Manolakos from the Agricultural University of Athens. Work includes multi-level assessments (technical, economic, social, environmental), RES and machinery adaptation, and demonstration of technologies such as BioCNG filling stations for energy-autonomous agriculture.
