RESPECT is a ngo headquartered in Belgium with approximately 50-200 employees specializing in Energy Storage.

RESPECT is an EU-funded research and innovation project under Horizon Europe and the BATT4EU Partnership. The project comprises 15 full partners and 3 associated partners from 9 European countries. It aims to develop flexible, safe, and efficient lithium-ion battery recycling processes at module level, encompassing pre-treatment, hydrometallurgy, and direct recycling approaches. The project targets 90% weight recovery efficiency and supports the circular economy while reinforcing European strategic autonomy in battery supply chains. Key objectives include transforming battery recycling processes, opening sustainable circular markets, and supporting next-generation battery materials development.
