Founded in 2006, Robert Boyle Institut is a ngo headquartered in Jena-Maua, Germany specializing in Hydrogen, Biogas.

The Robert Boyle Institut e.V. develops innovative processes for fermentative bio-hydrogen production from biogenic waste materials such as biowaste and municipal green waste, as well as anaerobic fermentation and biomass utilization technologies. Operating since 2006 with over 1,300 m² of laboratory and office facilities, the institute provides contract research, specialized analytics, expert assessments for biogas plant optimization, high-precision fermentation tests according to VDI 4630, and technical equipment supply and integration. As a member of the Zuse-Gemeinschaft (industrial research consortium with over 73 members), the institute supports Germany's national hydrogen strategy and publishes findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
