ROMEO is an industry-based consortium of 12 recognized key players from 6 EU member states and 1 associated country, led by IBERDROLA RENOVABLES ENERGÍA. The project, funded under Horizon 2020 grant agreement 745625, aims to develop a data-driven platform for analyzing and optimizing operations and maintenance of offshore wind power facilities. Key objectives include reducing turbine inspection resource requirements, decreasing foundation inspection costs, increasing wind farm reliability, and extending component lifetimes. The initiative is tested across three multi-scale European offshore pilot locations: Teesside, East Anglia ONE, and Wikinger.
