The company develops the HyTechHafen Rostock project to build a 100 MW electrolyzer facility at the site of the former coal power plant in Rostock's overseas harbor. The electrolyzer will produce up to 6,500 tonnes of green hydrogen annually using renewable electricity from regional wind and solar installations. Hydrogen will be supplied to local consumers and fed into regional pipeline networks connecting to Berlin/Brandenburg and Halle/Leipzig/Leuna regions. The project received EU IPCEI Hydrogen program approval in February 2024 and grant notification from Federal Minister Robert Habeck. Construction targeted for completion by 2028, with future expansion potential to 1,000 MW as part of the broader Energiehafen Rostock strategy.
