Founded in 2022, SEANERGY Project is a ngo headquartered in Porto, Portugal specializing in Solar, Wind, Hydrogen.
SEANERGY is a Horizon Europe-funded collaborative project led by Magellan Circle, bringing together 12 European partners. Launched in October 2022 with a 30-month duration ending March 2025, it addresses the decarbonization of EU ports. The project develops the SEANERGY Master Plan—a comprehensive aggregator of information and guidelines enabling port stakeholders to assess, plan, and execute activities toward clean energy transition. Key outputs include a curated catalogue of over 90 innovative decarbonization technologies, educational modules and handbooks for port professionals, capacity-building workshops, and regional demonstrations at pilot ports including sites in Greece and Austria (Ennshafen on the Danube). The initiative covers energy efficiency, renewable energy deployment (including hydrogen), circular economy solutions, and addresses social, financial, and technological barriers to port green transition.
