SeeOff (Strategieentwicklung zum effizienten Rückbau von Offshore-Windparks) is an interdisciplinary research project aimed at enabling companies involved in offshore wind farm decommissioning to develop efficient decommissioning strategies. The project conducts system analysis, technical and organizational requirement assessments, and develops methods for evaluating decommissioning scenarios considering economic, ecological, safety, and social aspects. It produces handbooks and guidelines for offshore wind farm decommissioning, analyzes dismantling techniques, logistics optimization, and recycling procedures. The project was funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy under the 6th Energy Research Programme and ran from November 2018 to April 2022.
