Founded in 2021, SH2E is a renewable energy company headquartered in Spain specializing in Hydrogen.

SH2E is a collaborative research initiative that develops comprehensive guidelines for Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) and prospective benchmarking of fuel cell and hydrogen (FCH) systems. The project addresses environmental, economic, and social life cycle assessment dimensions, material criticality indicators, and life cycle costing. It aims to establish the first harmonized multi-dimensional framework for FCH systems sustainability assessment, supporting decision-making and future European and global standardization. The project ran from January 2021 to June 2024 with an overall budget of €2,142,778.75 and EU contribution of €1,997,616.25 under Horizon 2020.
