The heating infrastructure combines solar thermal collectors (70% solar coverage), seasonal thermal storage (pit storage with 20,500 m³ volume), biomass boiler, and heat pump technology, achieving 84% renewable energy penetration. The system replaces individual fossil fuel heating systems with centralized renewable heat distribution. Households connect via heat transfer stations and pay a flat monthly charge (€59.50) plus variable heat consumption rates (€0.1654/kWh). The cooperative operates with democratic governance and reinvests revenues locally.
