About
Founded in 2021, StasHH is a co-op headquartered in Germany with approximately 1000-5000 employees specializing in Hydrogen.
StasHH (Standard-Sized Heavy-duty Hydrogen) is a EU-funded research and innovation project under the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking. The consortium of 25 partners, coordinated by SINTEF, developed the first comprehensive industry standard for fuel cell modules (FCMs) for heavy-duty applications. The standard defines physical dimensions, interfaces (power, flows, cooling, data), control systems, and test protocols. Project objectives include reducing total cost of ownership for heavy-duty fuel-cell vehicles, creating a single pooled market across multiple sectors, enabling fair competition among suppliers, achieving MW-scale modularity, reducing OEM R&D costs, and enabling cost reduction through automation. Prototypes from 8 leading fuel cell vendors were developed and tested for standards compliance.
