About

Founded in 2020, Sublime Project is a government headquartered in Germany specializing in Energy Storage.

The Sublime Project is a European research initiative coordinated by FEV Group with 151 partners from 8 European countries, including industrial companies, SMEs, research and technology organizations, and academic institutions. The project focuses on developing the next generation of sulfide electrolyte-based solid-state lithium batteries optimized for electric vehicle applications. The research addresses technical challenges in battery performance, cost reduction, charging speed, and driving range. The project encompasses a complete value chain from material requirements and specifications through manufacturing processes, testing protocols, and scale-up to pre-industrial volumes (targeting Technology Readiness Level 6). Research areas include electrode material optimization, interface stability, manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and lifecycle assessment. The consortium developed a roadmap targeting market entry by 2030.
