SUNBIO is a multidisciplinary EU-funded initiative (Horizon Europe grant No. 101157493) focused on sustainable offshore hybrid renewable energy systems (OHRES). The project integrates three core components: renewable energy production through wave and solar technologies, marine biodiversity enhancement through native species cultivation and nature-friendly artificial reefs, and underwater carbon sequestration.
