Pilot plant to demonstrate a metallurgical recycling technology for LFP (lithium iron phosphate) scrap and end-of-life batteries, with a nominal capacity of 500 tonnes per year, intended to pave the way for an industrial-scale recycling plant. Runs from 2023-01-01 to 2025-12-31 with funding from EIT RawMaterials.
LFP cell Pilot Line
Production-scale pilot line for LFP lithium cells at Sunlight Group's Xanthi premises, with an investment of about 130m, partly funded by the EU as an IPCEI project. Expected to be commissioned in Q1 2024.
