Since 1999, the company has designed, developed, and tested over 150 prototypes of its SkyDragon platform, which operates at 20 km altitude for telecommunications and emergency communications infrastructure. The company's core competencies include lightweight structural design, solar-electric propulsion systems, autonomous landing systems (ALF parachute), helium-sealing technologies, and advanced materials engineering. TAO has developed applications beyond aviation, including regenerative thermal energy storage systems using silica gel for building climate control.
