TasmanIon is a renewable energy company headquartered in Kelburn, Wellington, New Zealand specializing in Energy Storage.

New Zealand start-up developing rechargeable aluminium-ion batteries for grid storage and portable applications. The technology uses an aluminium anode, a patented cathode material and a non-flammable electrolyte, aiming to be safer, more affordable and scalable, and built on existing lithium-ion production infrastructure. Developed by researchers from Victoria University of Wellington.
