The company has developed a thermophotovoltaic energy storage technology that converts electricity to heat for storage and converts it back to electricity on demand. This technology addresses the critical gap in long-duration, cost-effective energy storage needed for high penetration of intermittent renewable energy sources. The company's core team includes leading academics from UPM's Solar Energy Institute with decades of combined experience in photovoltaics research, thermal energy storage, and commercialization of advanced energy technologies.
