TRANSEATION is a multidisciplinary European research and innovation project coordinated by Centro Tecnológico Naval y del Mar (CTN), a non-profit maritime technology center. The project brings together partners from 8 countries (Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Norway, Spain) to advance ecosystem-based management through hybrid blue-grey infrastructures in marine and coastal areas. The project develops and demonstrates four types of structures: two low trophic aquaculture infrastructures, one offshore wind energy infrastructure, two coastal protection infrastructures, and a regenerative building program for marine infrastructure. TRANSEATION integrates digital monitoring solutions and citizen science engagement to support marine biodiversity restoration, ecosystem services preservation, and social benefits across coastal communities.
