Verenafohren is a cooperative wind energy project operated by Hegauwind GmbH & Co. KG, established in 2015 by 11 equal-share members. The wind park consists of three Nordex N131 turbines with a combined installed capacity of 9.9 MW located in Wiechs am Randen on the Tengen municipality. Since operations began in June 2017, the facility has generated approximately 19-24 million kWh annually, supplying renewable electricity to roughly 20,000 households. The project includes advanced technologies such as shadow flicker control, ice detection, and demand-responsive nighttime lighting. Members include regional utilities and municipal companies (Stadtwerke Singen, Stadtwerke Radolfzell, Stadtwerke Stockach, Stadtwerke Engen, Gemeindewerke Steißlingen, and EKS AG from Switzerland).
