Windpark Ulm-Jungingen is a collaborative wind energy project developed by SWU Erneuerbare Energien GmbH (a subsidiary of municipal utility Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm) and iTerra energy GmbH. The planned facility will comprise up to 3 wind turbines with a total capacity of approximately 20.4 MW located in the Ulm administrative district. The project is positioned within the Donau-Iller regional plan as a designated priority area for wind energy. Planning began in 2024 with expected commissioning in 2029. The project aims to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30,000 tonnes annually (based on 10,000 tonnes per turbine) and supply renewable electricity to approximately 12,000 local households. The developers emphasize community engagement and transparent communication throughout the permitting process under German federal immission control legislation (BImSchG).
