Founded in 2016, WiseGRID is a government headquartered in Spain specializing in Solar, Wind, Hydro.

WiseGRID is a 42-month EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation project (2016-2020) led by Spanish company ETRA ID. The project demonstrates an integrated ecosystem for smart grid management, combining storage technologies, renewable energy integration, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. It involves 21 partners including distribution system operators, electric cooperatives, technology providers, and research institutes across 8 European countries. The project deployed 9 products tested in 4 large-scale demonstrators (Belgium, Italy, Spain, Greece) involving over 1,700 users, 60 batteries (300+ kWh), 50 heat pumps (160+ kWh), 180 electric vehicles, 40 charging stations, and 70+ MWh of renewable capacity (solar, wind, hydro). It focuses on empowering consumers as prosumers and creating open markets for energy democracy.
