PT wpd Indonesia Energy is the Indonesian subsidiary of the wpd group, a Bremen-based developer and operator of wind and solar projects. Established in March 2021 in Jakarta, it aims to develop onshore wind and solar farms across Indonesia and become a main renewable energy developer and IPP in the region. Its local team is supported by the wider wpd group, which was founded in Bremen in 1996 and reports operations in 32 countries with around 1,400 employees and over 7,000 MW of installed wind capacity. The wpd group supports projects through leasing, design, permitting, financing, equipment procurement and operations, and reports a Euler Hermes A credit rating. Planned future services for Indonesia include asset management and O&M.
