Stichting Alkmaar voor Alkmaar is a Dutch foundation, based in Alkmaar, Netherlands, that supports the youth and residents of Alkmaar in Suriname. Its work centres on the Legêneschool, a primary school of the Evangelische Broedergemeente, and the Sukh-Dhaam children's home, which sit next to each other. Projects are funded by donations and include school renovations, equipment, books and activities for children. The foundation also raises awareness of Surinamese culture and the history of slavery, for example through presentations and Keti Koti commemorations in Alkmaar, and organises fundraising events and book sales.
