Animal Rescue Rodos

Animal Rescue Rodos is a non-governmental organisation based in Rhodos City, Greece working on animal welfare, nature & wildlife conservation.

Animal Rescue Rodos is a non-profit animal welfare organisation on the Greek island of Rhodos. Its team, led by George Kritikos, rescues stray, injured and abandoned domestic animals and wildlife, including animals kept in extreme neglect. The organisation works with the police, the municipality, local shelters, veterinarians and animal welfare groups. Its main focus is sterilising free-roaming dogs and cats to control populations, alongside rescue operations, shelter care, rehoming and foster placements. It also campaigns against illegal nets that trap wild animals and is building a second quarantine station at the municipal shelter. The organisation is funded primarily through donations and relies on volunteers and foster carers in Rhodos and abroad.
