Bānīša Draugu klubs

Bānīša Draugu klubs is a non-profit association based in Baloži, Latvia working on heritage, community development.

Bānīša Draugu klubs (BDK) is a Latvian association of railway enthusiasts based in Baloži, Ķekava municipality, near Riga. Run largely by volunteers, it is restoring a former peat extraction narrow-gauge railway (750 mm gauge) into a museum railway. The project preserves rolling stock and industrial heritage, runs seasonal excursion trains and guided walks in the peat bog, and offers volunteering opportunities. The association also works with peat producers and public bodies on the project and holds public-benefit organisation status.
