Dzīvnieku brīvība is a Latvian animal rights association based in Riga. It works to end industrial farming cruelty, including fur farming, the caging of laying hens and the use of animals in entertainment. Its work includes advocacy and lobbying with lawmakers, retailers and food producers, investigations of farm conditions, public events and awareness campaigns, and promotion of plant-based diets through recipe booklets, a vegan information portal and the annual Neapēd zemeslodi challenge. The association also offers volunteer opportunities and encourages supporters to include donations in wills.
