Dr.Klauns

Dr.Klauns is a non-profit association based in Rīga, Latvia working on health, children & youth, mental health.

Dr.Klauns is a Latvian non-profit association, funded entirely by donations, that provides medical clowning in hospitals. Trained clown doctors visit sick children, their parents and medical staff, aiming to reduce stress and anxiety and support recovery through play and humour. The association runs a clown doctor training school, a senior care pilot project, and campaigns and book sales to raise support. Its work covers hospitals across Latvia, including in Riga, Cēsis, Valmiera, Rēzekne and Daugavpils, and it has been working in Latvian hospitals since 2012.
