Caritas Požeške biskupije is the charitable arm of the Catholic Diocese of Požega in Croatia, established in 1997 by decree of the bishop as a pastoral institution. It promotes Christian charity within the diocese and, where needed, beyond it, with particular attention to the most vulnerable. Its work includes a community kitchen delivering hot meals to elderly and sick people in Požega, a monthly food and hygiene support programme, firewood and utility assistance, support for parish Caritas groups, a family centre offering counselling and education, a medical equipment lending service, and scholarships for students through a dedicated foundation. It also responds to natural disasters and runs volunteer-based initiatives and campaigns with schools. The organisation is funded through a mix of government and EU project grants, diocesan resources and individual donations, and works with the Croatian Caritas and social and health care institutions.
