Caritas Splitsko-makarske nadbiskupije is the pastoral and charitable institution of the Split-Makarska Archdiocese in Croatia, founded in 1971 to organise charity and provide care for people in need. It provides charitable, pastoral and social services in the Split and Makarska region, including hot meals and food distribution at canteens in Split and Omiš, a shelter for victims of domestic violence, scholarships for pupils and students, a children's Caritas programme, and support for older people. Its work is carried out with the help of more than 120 active volunteers and is partly funded through EU and Croatian government projects. The organisation also runs projects for young people in conflict with the law and for social service development.
