CERANEO

Founded in 1995, CERANEO is a think tank based in Zagreb, Croatia working on democracy & civil society, housing & homelessness, employment & skills.

CERANEO, the Centre for Development of Non-Profit Organizations, is a Croatian think tank founded in 1995. It collects, analyses and researches problems in social policy and promotes innovative approaches to them. Its work focuses on strengthening civil society and civil society organisations, advocating for sustainable and affordable housing with a focus on people at risk of homelessness, and empowering young people in NEET status. It publishes research and indices such as the Civil Society Index for Croatia and the Social Profile of the City of Zagreb, organises panel discussions, workshops and conferences, and monitors the European Pillar of Social Rights in Croatia. CERANEO was founded in 1995 and has been active in the Croatian non-profit sector, including in the drafting of the Law on Associations. Its president and co-founder is Gojko Bežovan, Ph.D.
