A cultural association founded in 1993 by women on the island of Amorgos, Greece, to showcase, convey and protect the culture, traditions and environment of Amorgos and the Cyclades. It runs the Amorgos Film Festival, an international festival of tourism and travel films that promotes Greek culture and island tourism, and organises the Amorgos International Short Film Festival, a film academy and cultural events. Its other activities include a children's dance group, school recycling campaigns, beach and pathway clean-ups, cultural and folklore promotion, and support for the local health centre. Its work is based on voluntary action and is funded through membership fees, donations, sponsorships and public and EU cultural funding.
