Društvo Crvenog križa Istarske županije (Red Cross of Istria County) is a non-profit association and one of the organisational units of the Croatian Red Cross. It is a community of seven city Red Cross societies in the Istrian County of Croatia. The society works under the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to reduce human suffering, protect life, health and dignity, and respond to armed conflicts, disasters and other emergencies. Its activities include disaster preparedness and response, water rescue, first aid, voluntary blood donation, a tracing service, community humanitarian and social programmes for older people, youth development, and prevention of human trafficking. It relies on volunteers, donors and partnerships with public, private and civil society institutions.
