Founded in 2009, ecOceánica is a non-profit association based in San Borja, Peru working on nature & wildlife conservation, environment & climate, science & research.

ecOceánica is a Peruvian non-profit association founded in 2009 to study, conserve and restore marine ecosystems of the Southeast Pacific, with a particular focus on Peru's marine ecosystems. It runs scientific research projects, conservation and environmental education programmes, and public outreach activities. Its work covers threatened marine species, sustainable fisheries, and citizen science, and it seeks to involve coastal communities in conservation. It also promotes the integration of technical and scientific information into state marine conservation programmes and proposes climate change mitigation measures for marine ecosystems. Its projects include sea turtle nest protection in northern Peru and outreach on marine megafauna.
