About
Founded in 2012, ENPE is a non-profit network based in Brussels, Belgium working on environment & climate, nature & wildlife conservation.
ENPE is the European Network of Prosecutors for the Environment, an international non-profit association registered in Brussels, Belgium, and incorporated in 2016. It supports the operational work of environmental prosecutors and promotes the enforcement of environmental criminal law across Europe. Membership is open to prosecutors and organisations involved in prosecuting environmental crime in EU Member States, candidate and potential candidate countries, and EEA, EFTA and European Environment Agency member countries, with Observer status available to organisations with an interest in environmental crime beyond these. The network is run by a Board headed by a President and works through specialist working groups on waste crime, illegal pesticides, pollution and wildlife crime. It organises conferences, workshops and training, including joint Four Networks conferences with IMPEL, EUFJE and EnviCrimeNet, and has produced guidance such as Waste Shipment Regulation training materials and a webinar. Its activities are partly funded by the EU LIFE programme.
