Forma

Forma is a non-profit association based in Namur, Belgium working on employment & skills, community development.

Forma is a Centre d'Insertion Socio-Professionnelle and Entreprise de Formation par le Travail (EFT) based in Namur, Belgium. It trains unemployed women, many of them with young children or with limited schooling, in professional cleaning and small catering through training combined with real work for clients. Trainees learn on the job, guided by trainer-supervisors, with an individualised programme aimed at building autonomy, self-confidence and employability. Forma also runs Complètement Bocal, a local food-processing project that turns surplus produce from local farmers into soups and preserves, supporting local producers and sustainable consumption. The organisation grew out of a women's hostel run by the asbl Mères et enfants in 1974 and was recognised as an apprenticeship enterprise in 1982 and as an EFT in 1997. It is also linked to AuPlusNet, a cleaning cooperative it helped create in 2005.
