Founded in 1990, Hrvatsko matematičko društvo is a non-profit association based in Zagreb, Croatia working on education, science & research.

The Croatian Mathematical Society (Hrvatsko matematičko društvo, HMD) is a professional and scientific association of mathematicians in Croatia, founded in its current form in 1990. It aims to advance and promote mathematical science, mathematics teaching at all levels, the application of mathematics in other disciplines, and the social position of mathematicians. Its work is organised through five sections: scientific, teaching, engineering, professional (polytechnic) and student, plus a youth membership branch. Activities include lectures and colloquia, teacher training, national mathematics competitions, publishing journals and books, and popular outreach to pupils and the public. It operates in Croatia, with its head office in Zagreb and local branches in several cities.
