INNODIA is an international non-profit organisation based in Leuven, Belgium, that accelerates the development of therapies to prevent and cure type 1 diabetes. It originated from a European public-private partnership co-funded by the European Commission's Innovative Medicines Initiative, The Hemsley Charitable Trust, Breakthrough T1D and EFPIA partners. It acts as an interface between entities developing new therapies, including SMEs and biotechs, and those with the tools and expertise to do so. Its members include accredited clinical trial sites, research and innovation labs and diagnostic labs, supported by a governing board, a general assembly, a management team and an expert community of people and families living with type 1 diabetes.
