The Latvijas Mednieku asociācija (LATMA) is a non-profit association based in Vangaži, Latvia, founded in 2000 in Riga and registered as a biedrība in 2004. It represents the interests of hunters in Latvia, advises its members on hunting management and related legal matters, takes part in scientific study of game animals and their populations, and provides hunter education through training seminars and information events. It promotes sustainable, wildlife-based hunting management, works with state and non-governmental bodies on hunting regulations, and organises public events such as the Minhauzens hunters' festival. LATMA is a long-standing member of FACE, the European federation of hunting and nature conservation associations, and its board member represents the Baltic region on the FACE board. The association also runs or supports member clubs for women hunters, young hunters and deer-call (staltbriežu piebaurotāju) enthusiasts, and organises events on wildlife topics such as elk and bear management, lead ammunition and hunting dog training.
