Latvijas Okupācijas izpētes biedrība is a non-profit association based in Rīga, Latvia working on human rights, democracy & civil society.

The Latvian Occupation Research Society (LOIB) is a non-profit association based in Riga, Latvia. It researches and documents the consequences of the Soviet occupation of Latvia, including economic, environmental, demographic and human losses, and seeks to make this information available to the public, researchers and European institutions. Its work includes conferences, publications and calculations of occupation-related damages, which it continues after a Cabinet of Ministers commission stopped work for lack of funding. LOIB is a founding member of the European Platform of Memory and Conscience, established in Prague in 2010, which aims to raise public awareness of totalitarian crimes and promote a shared European history. The society is funded largely by private donations and runs membership and donation options.
