Lietuvos paraplegikų asociacija

Founded in 1995, Lietuvos paraplegikų asociacija is a non-profit association based in Rykštynės, Lithuania working on disability, human rights.

Lietuvos paraplegikų asociacija (LPA) is a non-profit association founded in June 1995 in Lithuania. It brings together people who use wheelchairs due to spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities, aiming to support their integration into society. Its work includes defending the rights of people with disabilities, providing legal and advisory services, advocating for accessible environments and supportive legislation, and running rehabilitation, self-care skills, recreation and creative camps. The association runs the Landscape Therapy and Recreation Centre (LTRC) in Monciškės near Palanga, which has accessible paths, sea access and accommodation for people with severe disabilities. It is active in Kaunas, Vilnius, Šiauliai, Kėdainiai and other towns, and takes part in international cooperation as the only Lithuanian member of ESCIF, the European Spinal Cord Injury Federation.
