Likimo laiptai

Founded in 1997, Likimo laiptai is a non-governmental organisation based in Klaipėda, Lithuania working on disability, community development.

VšĮ Likimo laiptai is a non-profit non-governmental organisation based in Klaipėda, Lithuania. It brings together people with disabilities and their relatives in Klaipėda county and aims to promote their social participation. It repairs and adapts assistive technical equipment, provides social rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and their families, and runs educational, cultural and other projects. The organisation was founded on 27 November 1997 on the initiative of Jonas Girta, who was himself a wheelchair user, and was led by Adolfas Ruškys after Girta's death in 2004.
